An old family recipe. Handed down from my Nana Nola.
Christmas fruit mix is made from scratch and soaked in brandy to allow flavours to develop. Cake is then baked on a low heat for 3-4 hours. Topped with more brandy and then left to mature. Cakes are then fed with brandy weekly. Leaving a wonderful moist fruit cake.
Classic fruit cake, iced with brandy butter icing or decorated with almonds.

400gram/ 8cm round (small gift / hamper size)
1.5kg/15 cm round (small family)
2kg/20cm round (large family)

All cakes should be stored in the refrigerator but are best eaten at room temperature.
